Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) Refresher
This two-day course is for those who have previously undertaken a PHEC Course and are looking to update and maintain their skills and knowledge in the pre-hospital emergency care of adults. It is a highly practical course involving lots of scenario work, peer learning and continuous feedback delivered through a mentor system with our experienced multi-disciplinary teaching faculty. It involves working outside, come rain or shine.
The PHEC is one of two courses approved by the Sports Grounds Safety Authority as meeting the Green Guide requirements for those providing crowd medical care. The PHEC content and delivery is endorsed by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
It is recommended that people refresh their PHEC course every three years. Attendees have to have attended the full PHEC course within the last 3-5 years.
